Cefcapene pivoxil (147816-24-8) is a pivalate ester prodrug form of the third generation cephalosporin Cefcapene. Displays broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against both Gram-negative and -positive bacteria including S. aureus.1 Cefcapene pivoxil potently suppresses gasdermin D-mediated pyroptosis via targeting of the oligomerization interface I.2 Active in vivo in a mouse model of sepsis. Cefcapene pivoxil acts synergistically with another gasdermin D inhibitor, SCR-1481B1 (Cat #10-3971), and a PD-L1 antibody to significantly enhance the antitumor activity of anti-PD-L1 therapy.
