Kartogenin (4727-31-5) promotes the selective differentiation of multipotent mesenchymal stem cells into chondrocytes (EC50 = 100 nM). Kartogenin displays chrondroprotective effects in vitro and is efficacious in two animal models of osteoarthritis. Cell permeable.
