FOCUS on a New Pharma Success Story. Day One Biopharmaceuticals is only 8 years old, yet in that short period of time it bought the rights to MLN2480 (TAK580; a Raf kinase inhibitor originally developed in a collaboration between Sunesis and Biogen) and successfully pushed it forward to FDA approval in April of 2024, for patients with relapsed or refractory pediatric low-grade glioma harboring a BRAF fusion or rearrangement, or BRAF V600 mutation. This month, Day One announced its acquisition by Servier Pharmaceuticals for $2.5 billion!
