UCB9608 (1616413-96-7) is a potent (IC50 = 5 nM), highly selective, and orally bioavailable inhibitor of the phosphatidylinositol kinase PI4KIIIß.1 It acts as a potent immunosuppressive agent (IC50 = 37 nM human mixed lymphocyte reaction (HuMLR) assay) and was able to significantly prolong heterotopic allograft retention in a mouse model of cardiac allograft rejection. UCB9608 preserved graft tolerance in mice carrying a heterotopic allogenic heart challenged with host-type melanoma and subsequently treated with antitumor immunotherapy.2  UCB9608 promoted a T cell regulatory phenotype over an effector phenotype.3
