Cinacalcet (364782-34-3) is a calcimimetic that allosterically activates the calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR; EC50 = 79.4 nM in HEK 293T cells expressing CaSR).1-3 It lowers plasma parathyroid hormone in hemodialysis patients with secondary hyperparathyroidism.4 Cinacalcet has been used to treat parathyroid carcinoma.5
