FDI-6 (313380-27-7) selectively blocks FOXM1 binding to DNA (IC50 = 22.5 µM) in MCF-7 breast cancer cells and suppresses transcription of FOXM1 genes.1 It decreased cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in MDA-MB-231 and HS578T triple negative breast cancer cell lines.2 FDI-6 acted synergistically with olaparib to inhibit the growth of triple negative breast3 and pancreatic4 cancer cells. It was found to induce the mRNA expression of aryl hydrocarbon receptor genes with subsequent suppression of tumorsphere formation in MCF-7 cells.5 FDI-6 enhanced T cell activation, supported differentiation of CD8+ cells, and T cell-mediated killing of small cell lung cancer cells.6
