IMP-1700 (1458674-25-3) is a potent inhibitor of the bacterial DNA double-strand break repair complex AddAB. It is capable of synergistic sensitization of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) to ciprofloxacin (EC50 = 0.6nM).  IMP-1700 is an important new tool for exploring new treatment options for drug resistant bacteria.
