MKV3 (169120-56-3) is a first-in-class inhibitor of Cu+-ATPases with broad-spectrum activity across bacteria, fungi, plants, and animals.1 In mammalian cells it blocked copper-stimulated ATP7A trafficking, increased copper burden, sensitized cells to copper toxicity, and triggered cuproptosis. It has also been reported to be an allosteric MIF inhibitor.2
