Ozanimod (1306760-87-1) binds to human recombinant sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor S1P1 and S1P5 receptors in a competitive radioligand binding assay. Agonism at S1P1 receptors induced receptor internalization whereas S1P5 did not.1 It displays anti-inflammatory activity and is in clinical use for multiple sclerosis2 and inflammatory bowel disease3. It reduces chronic inflammation and alleviates kidney pathology in systemic lupus erythematosus in a mouse model.4
