PF-9366 | Methionine adenosyltransferase 2A inhibitor

PF-9366 (72882-78-1) is an allosteric inhibitor (IC50 = 420 nM) of methionine adenosyltransferase 2A (Mat2A), the primary enzyme responsible for extrahepatic synthesis of S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM).1 It inhibited cellular SAM production in H520 lung and Huh-7 liver cancer cells with IC50’s of 1.2 µM and 225 nM respectively.
