Visnagin (82-57-5) is a natural product isolated from the plant Ammi visnaga.  It displays protective effects against doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy via inhibition of mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase resulting in a decrease in cardiomyocyte apoptosis.1
