Calyculin A (101932-71-2) is a  potent cell permeable inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1) and 2A (PP2A), IC50=0.3-1 nM.1 Has no effect on PP2B, PP2C as well as acid or alkaline phosphatase at 1 mM.2  A non-phorbol tumor promoter.3 Stimulates the phosphorylation of various cellular proteins such as vimentin4  and NFkB5 and also induces membrane translocation of protein kinase C6.
