Circadian Clock

Cells and organisms are subject to a cyclical process known as the circadian clock or rhythm that repeats roughly every 24 hours. It regulates processes such as sleep, metabolism, and immune and endocrine function, and is controlled by both internal (cellular electrical activity) and external factors (such as light and temperature).
