Cellular responses to stress are important for cell survival and maintaining genomic stability. Signaling pathways and other systems activated in cellular stress include heat shock, ubiquitin-proteasome, DNA damage response, inflammasome, unfolded protein response, NFκB, ERK/JNK/p38 MAPK, and Keap1-Nrf2 among others.
